Introduction

Each document can be "tageed" with multiple phrases. The purpose of this functionlaity is to improve searching and reporting.

The Tag functionality is intended to be simple and flexible.

Example

Say an Engineer ( Joe Bloggs ) wanted to monitor failures across all of the pumps which contained a double mechanical seal. The Engineer could "Tag" the failure reports with "JB double mechanical seal failures 2010". He would then be able to group all of these together at the end of the study by earching on the phrase "JB double mechanical seal failures 2010". The tag phrase would also be included in the export to Excel

JB used his initials at the start of the Tag so that he could easily see his tags

Specification

Idea - needs clarification

For Tags to be effective some of them will need to be pushed down to the child records. It may also be that this push down needs to be from a point in time or for all records.
For example rather than tagging failure records with "JB double mechanical seal failures 2010" the parent item of equipment could be tagged and then all subsequent failure reports would automatically pick up that tag.
